Journals
My Journals are made from leather, using a technique known from medieaval times. The leather is faced on the inside of the journal with patterned end-papers, some of which are copies of medieaval designs. The pages in the books (or signatures as they are known) are sewn in with waxed Irish linen thread.
Each journal contains 160 pages (both sides) of 130gsm, acid and lignin-free, cartridge paper. Other papers are available by request and a refill service is available.
I'm happy to accept commissions for particular colours of leather and end-papers. Plain suede is also an option.
The small notebooks (A7 size, 4.5 x 3.5ins) are closed with colourful press-studs to complement the leather and/or binding and end-papers.
These are £21.50 each plus p&p and packaged in a rustic brown kraft pillow box with the Ceardach logo.
The medium sized journals (A6, 6 x 5ins) are closed with hand-turned pegs made from wood from local scottish native trees.
These are £32.50 each plus p&p and come in a rustic brown kraft presentation box with the Ceardach logo.
The large jounals (A5 size, 8.5 x 6 ins) are closed with scottish deer antler tips.
These are £45.00 each plus p&p and come in a rustic brown kraft presentation box with the Ceardach logo.
All journals can be personalised with initials at £2.50 per letter.
